Our bear hunting clients take bears in the 8' to 9½' size range with skulls from 24" to 28".  Our success rate has been 85%-100%.  Each year is different in Alaska, but this gives you an idea what to expect from your bear hunting trip.

Your bear hunting adventure will be near the coast of Alaska's Bristol Bay.  This is at the top of the Alaska Peninsula, and as you probably already know, this is world record bear country.  Not only will you see big Alaska bear while hunting in this part of Alaska, chances are you will see a lot of them.

If you want to focus on Alaska brown bear hunting alone, I'm going to recommend to you that you come in the spring.  Spring bear hunting provides prime quality hides with dense full coats, long thick hair and heavy claws.  You can expect to travel from our Dillingham base to a comfortable cabin in an bush plane equipped with skis.....because there is snow on the ground early in the season. You will enjoy traveling on snowmobiles searching for bears!

You're going to enjoy the comfort of our cabin at the end of the day.  You will also enjoy seeing the beauty of this country.  Another approach you may use is staking out a den site from a remote camp.  We will pick a good method for you.

If you want to make a combination hunt, then fall is your choice.  You may prefer to take a moose or a caribou with your bear.  That is also a good choice as it maximizes your hunting experience while you are in "the great land".  Expect to spend your days with us in the fall doing spot and stalk.  Bring your camera: you are going to want to take pictures of the colors, mountains, and wildlife.  Speaking of wildlife, you'll likely also see moose, caribou, wolf, blackies and wolverine while you are with us.

Our commitment to you is a top quality hunt with personal service.  You will pay a fixed price for the hunt with a trophy fee when you take your bear.  No bear , no trophy fee.  You want a huge trophy, and that's what I want for you.  However, let me be honest with you: we are going to be fair chase hunting for a wild animal in its natural element, and there is no guarantee of success or size.  That said, we have kept our success rate at no less than 85% -- and some years all of our hunters take home their trophy.

You will be in wilderness-- far from the road system.  Still, we are easy to reach: you need only fly to Anchorage and from there to Dillingham.  There is daily jet service to both locations.
